Short version: dSL1200 collects nothing, sends nothing, and tracks nothing. The app reads your own Apple Music library only to play your own songs on the virtual deck, on your device.
1. Information we collect
None. dSL1200 does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information. The app does not contain analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash-reporting services, or any other third-party data-collection components.
2. Apple Music library access
When you tap the TRACK button, iOS prompts you for permission to access your Apple Music library. If you grant permission, dSL1200 uses the standard system music picker so you can choose a track to play on the virtual turntable.
- The selected track is read directly from your device.
- Track audio, titles, artist names, and other metadata are used only in-app to play the song and to render the title and artist on the on-screen vinyl label.
- Nothing about your library — including the names or contents of any track — is uploaded, transmitted off-device, or shared with the developer or any third party.
You can revoke Apple Music library access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music → dSL1200.
3. Audio Unit (AUv3) effects
dSL1200 lets you load Audio Unit Extension (AUv3) effect plugins that are already installed on your device. dSL1200 does not download, install, or transmit AUv3 plugins. Any data handling done by a third-party AUv3 plugin is governed by that plugin's own privacy policy.
4. Network use
dSL1200 does not make any network connections during normal use. The app does not contain in-app purchases, advertising, telemetry, remote configuration, or any other server communication.
5. Children's privacy
dSL1200 is rated 4+. Because the app collects no information of any kind, it does not knowingly collect information from children, and it complies with applicable children's privacy laws (including COPPA and the GDPR-K provisions of the EU GDPR).
6. Data retention and deletion
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to retain or delete on the developer's side. All in-app state lives entirely on your device and is removed if you uninstall the app.
7. Third-party services
dSL1200 does not embed third-party SDKs or services that collect user data. The app only uses Apple's built-in iOS frameworks (MediaPlayer, AVFoundation, AudioToolbox, Metal, UIKit, AudioUnit) to function on your device.
8. Encryption
dSL1200 ships with a small bundled 3D mesh asset that is obfuscated using a custom XOR keystream derived from a SHA-256 hash. This is content protection for the developer's own art assets only — it does not encrypt, protect, or transmit any user data.
9. Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the "Last updated" date below will change. Because the app collects no data, material changes are not anticipated.
